Therapist Intern
Alicia Elan Harkum
I’m currently a graduate student in the Clinical Behavioral Health Master of Social Work program at the University of Maryland in Baltimore and my expected date of graduation is May 2023. In my personal time, I spend as much time as I can outside, ideally with my dog Picard.
I am here to support you in dealing with the things in your life that feel hard, confusing, or painful so that you can find clarity and calm. In our sessions, we can identify what is causing you distress and find a path to a more fulfilling and authentic life.
Working with me: I specialize in clients who are experiencing grief from all types of loss, along with caretaking, dying, and death. My specialties also include clients working through issues of anxiety & depression, sex & relationships, and gender & sexuality. No matter what you are seeking support for, know that I have personal experience and professional expertise in supporting queer and gender-diverse folks, people who are non-monogamous, and those in kink communities.
I work from a strength-based therapeutic approach, rooted in a framework of liberation. I believe that you are the most knowledgeable about your experiences.
